Will a BC Framer file always create a material list in BC Connect?

The BC Framer® software file must be associated with a project before it will generate a BC Connect® software material list. (File > Save as...)

The file type will indicate the status of the MMDL file. As shown below, "BC FRAMER File Upload" is just like any other attachment such as a PDF. It will not generate a material list and cannot be optimized.

Once the file has been saved as a new file and it is associated to the project, the attachment type will be "BC FRAMER". It will always generate a material list and can be optimized.
