Walls

  • Applying a uniform load to a wall will add only the load the user specifies; no unintended loads will be included.
  • The Match Top Slope option will remain selected after being chosen in the wall opening dialog.
  • Adding an opening to the right or left of an existing opening will create only one new opening (not duplicates).

Hangers

The header member species will be saved and reused when the file is reopened.

BC Framer Software

  • Full-bearing members will analyze successfully and will not prevent other members from analyzing.
  • Full-bearing members will generate a BDE build on the Boise Member Report.
  • Loads with invalid locations/positions will be automatically adjusted to fall within the member.

Project Info

Users can now edit project information without being blocked.

Holes

  • Proximity rules for holes follow Boise Cascade guidelines.
    • I-Joist - the software is permitted to use the lesser of 2 times the larger hole dia. or the 3” clear dimension.
    • LVL and Glulams - the min. edge to edge distance should be the 2 times the larger hole dia.

General Notes

Updated the note language for multiple ply i-joists to improve clarity and reduce the chance of misinterpretation:

"All multiple member X" BCI® xxs-x.x applications with side load or unevenly distributed top load require filler blocks and fasteners. See Boise Cascade Technical Note IJ-13 for installation requirements and maximum capacity."

"All multiple member 11-7/8" BCI® 90-2.0 DF applications require filler blocks and fasteners. See Boise Cascade Technical Note IJ-13 for installation requirements and maximum capacity."
