New BC Connect Material List User Interface

Streamlined Material List header

  • Old Header

  • New Header

Material Group Filter

  • Ability to filter to a single material group at a time.

  • Levels have been renamed to Material Group, to highlight the material list flexibility.

New Tab Behavior

  • New Tab behavior when additional material list rows are added.
  • Each value is auto saved upon exiting the field.
  • Duplicates the previous series information, but now starts with the Quantity field.

  • Provides information inline, whether or not all required information has been filled in.

New Product Sorting Rules

  • Primary sort is Product.
  • Secondary sort is length, longest to shortest.
  • Changes will take effect after the page is refreshed, ensuring the user’s entry process is not disrupted.

  • Example: 6000's and 6500's intermixed.

  • After Refresh - all the 6000's first, longest to shortest, then the 6500's longest to shortest.

'Send ML to Operations' Dropdown

  • New button to replace the status dropdown.

    • "Send Full Material Lists to Operations" will be the new process to send the list to operations.

      • This replaces the status of "Ready for Optimization" and will lock the material list as it sends the products rows to operations.

        • The security prompt that asked users to confirm sending materials to operations has been removed.
        • After the list has been sent, the "Send..." button is disabled.

        NOTE: More to come, including the ability to send specific line items

New Hole Validation Modal

  • Old style

  • New style

  • Modal identifies the overall member length and series information.
  • Hole values for Height, Width, and Diameter now default to inches instead of feet.
  • Obround and Rounded Rectangular holes show the preview image without needing to open a second modal.

Enhanced Messaging for Hole Input

  • Warnings and failures are now more clearly distinguished.
  • Message is added to the existing view, and does not open an additional modal.

  • Error message disappears automatically when a value is changed.
