Project Grid Overview – User-Focused Enhancements
The updated Project Grid in BC Connect can be tailored for Operations, Sales, Designers, and Design Managers, showing only the data needed to work efficiently.
You can sort and filter across multiple columns—by designer, builder, or project status—making the workspace cleaner and faster to use.
Customizing Your Grid View
To tailor the grid to your workflow, click the Columns tab on the right edge of the screen. Active columns will appear highlighted in blue. From there, you can toggle columns on or off based on your preferences.
Once you’ve configured a view that fits your needs, open the dropdown menu next to the date range and select Save Custom View. Assign it a name for easy access in future sessions.
Managing Saved Views
To maintain a clutter-free interface, outdated or unused views can be removed. Click View Settings, select the custom view you wish to delete, and click the trash icon to remove it from your list.
Organizing Columns with Drag-and-Drop Functionality
To rearrange column views, click and hold the hamburger icon, then drag it to your preferred position.
Sorting and Filtering: Applying Conditions Across Multiple Columns
To apply sorting and filtering to one or more columns, click the hamburger icon, select the filter funnel, and choose your desired criteria. To sort by multiple columns in sequence, repeat the process by selecting an additional column.
Enhancing Visibility with Column Pinning
To freeze a column to the right or left, use the pin feature to enhance visibility while scrolling. This functionality keeps specific columns fixed, ensuring they remain visible as you navigate through the sheet.
Organizing Data with Row Grouping
To organize and summarize large datasets efficiently, use the row grouping feature. This functionality allows you to visually group rows into collapsible sections, enhancing readability and simplifying data navigation.
For example, you can use the column pullout to select "Builder" and then group rows by "Status." This enables you to structure your data without creating a separate view. To undo the grouping, click the hamburger icon in the first column and select "Un-Group All."
Alternatively, you can group rows directly by clicking the hamburger icon in the desired column—such as "Builder"—and selecting "Group by Builder," followed by grouping "Status" in the same way.
