Clear Browser Cache

This article covers the process to clear out old web browser data that may cause a variety of issues with online programs. Below are instructions for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.

This mainly clears or removes Cookies while leaving browser history and saved passwords intact. These steps will minimize the changes to your browsing history only changing what is necessary.

What’s a Cookie? Cookies are files containing info that web sites store on your PC to remember your preferences, such as sign-in or your location. Clearing cookies or even browser cache will in some cases resolve unexpected website and/or browser behavior.

Google Chrome

Keyboard command Ctrl+Shift+Del will opening the Clear Browsing Data dialog. Change Time range to All time.

Under the Basic tab, you should only need the following selected, then click Clear data.

Microsoft Edge

Keyboard command Ctrl+Shift+Del will opening the Clear Browsing Data dialog. Change Time range to All time.

You should only need the following selected, then click Clear Now.

Mozilla Firefox

Keyboard command Ctrl+Shift+Del will opening the Clear Recent History dialog. Change When to Everything.

You should only need the following selected, then click Clear.
