New Features/Enhancements
TLF Non-Stocked Blocking
- Currently, if a location is managing blocking, only blocking that match the managed blocking panel lengths will be designated as Pull and Ship pieces as part of the optimized solution.
- This new feature will allow the user to accumulate all pieces, per blocking mark, as TLF blocking instead of cutting all of the short pieces of blocking.
- Example:
- The material list requests the following blocking quantities and lengths
- When the feature is not enabled, not checked, the solution will only Pull and Ship the 1' 1 11/16" blocking, as that is the only length that is being managed. The rest of the blocking pieces are being cut.
- When the feature is enabled, checked, the solution will accumulate all of the blocking pieces for each mark into the TLF length, and then look to either cut them from waste or offcuts, or Pull and Ship these new longer pieces from shorts in inventory. In this example, the pieces were cut in the solution.
Edit Cut Screen Right Click Menu
- A new right click menu has been added to the edit screen that provides access to all of the existing edit options.
- The right click menu is context sensitive, so clicking on a cut item will show a different menu than clicking on a waste or offcut piece.

Material Print Configuration
(Note: this feature is only available to locations running the new Versa Saw file system)
- Ability for a user to configure a custom print string, from project data, and see a preview of what will be printed.
- This includes showing what might be truncated in the case of a short job board, or a long project name, on each piece.
- There is new print information on the Locations Settings page.
- Users are able to click the pencil icon to change the preferred print order and priority of what prints, in case the information needs to be truncated due to cut pieces length.
- When active, the optimized solution hover over information will show a preview of what will be printed for each board.
- When a label is truncated, the user will see what information will print.
- However, a user will be able to click on a new "Configure Material Print" button to get access to additional print tools.
- From the example, we will select project 2 (Elyjah Tehya - Springtime Cottage in the valley meadow) and then pick the 4' cut length.
- This will let the user know what information is being truncated.
- In this case, the long project name is a factor in why information is being truncated, so we provide the ability for a user to edit the project name information that will be included in the print. When the user edits the name, the print information is updated to show the change.
Allow inventory blocking to be added to grouped patterns
- On the edit cut screen allow inventory blocking to be added to grouped patterns.
New Saw/Batch option to have optimizer pull and ship cuts
- Currently, the optimized solution will prioritize cutting over Pull and Ship.
- This feature will allow users, either batch by batch or by setting it up as a default, to prioritize Pull and Ship over cutting.
- This means that when lengths in the material list closely match lengths in inventory, the system will identify them for Pull and Ship instead of being cut.
- The starting tolerance is 1' 1 1/2", but a user with access to Opti Organization Settings will be able to change this.

- 18' and 8' pieces are not set to Pull and Ship, but not the 6' pieces since there aren't any 6' or 7' lengths in inventory.

- The 6' pieces are not included, since the tolerance will not allow inventory pieces up to 2' 1 1/2" longer than the cut piece to be considered.
Pull List Sort Enhancement
- The pull list is now sorted by length descending.
