Here is how to create a User Defined Material (UDM) List without excluding or deleting unwanted material in the model.
You can either select material first and click the tool or click the tool and then select material. For this example, we will click the tool first.
Drawing and Markup ribbon > Click Create UDM List.
Add a name for the material list. Leaving the "Apply Layout Material List Settings" set to "Yes" will use the same output settings as set in Job Properties. Click OK.
Watch the lower left panel for instructions. "Select materials to be added..."
Choose materials which will highlight in green and then right-click to accept.
You can now locate the material list. This will not reduce the other system material list quantities.
You can manipulate the layout sheet to communicate this information to your customer or print the material list using the Print Material Lists tool.
Select the list(s) you want to print and then right click. Then change the Print To setting to Paper.
