How do I run multiple calcs at once?

Remember that BC Calc® software uses the browser cache as it stores it’s ‘session data’. A web browser only has one cache; Users that need to be able to run multiple sessions at once may open a different browser (Chrome, Firefox and/or Edge) and work independently of another browser’s active session.

Another option is to use a ‘private’ browsing window. Private browsing, privacy mode or incognito mode is a privacy feature in some web browsers to disable browsing history and the web cache. Being that the private browsing window is not using cache, it will not interfere with the active session. To start a private window, navigate to the browser menu or use key commands.

Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N

Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Pro Tips

*This might be useful if the phone rings and the caller needs help with a quick calc. You should save, start a new analysis and return to your saved work later, but using a different browser or private window will work too.

*If working in BC Calc® Offline, your desktop shortcut will always open in the Windows default browser; simply copy the URL from one browser window to the other, then bookmark it, so it's there next time.
