Some users have experienced a lack of control in the way the internet browser Google Chrome saves files. This could cause files to be saved as a default name 'BC CALC Project.bccx' making them difficult to identify later. It can also cause the file to save to a new file instead of saving over the existing version. (For example: Design.bccx, Design (1).bccx, Design (2).bccx)
Google Chrome by default downloads immediately to a Download folder and doesn't ask where to save it. It can be changed in settings, otherwise Chrome will always place your downloads in the Downloads folder.
To have Chrome Ask where to save each file before downloading;
Open Settings from the upper right menu (three dots)
- Scroll down and at the bottom of the screen, click Advanced to expand the advanced settings.
- Under Downloads, enable the setting Ask where to save each file before downloading.
