Slope refers to the pitch of a roof member and is only entered for rafter, roof beam and simple hip member types. In the U.S. version, slope is entered in units of rise per 12 inches and must be within the range of 0-12. A minimum slope of 0.25 in/ft is recommended for rafters. A slope of 0 may be entered for ridge beam applications. The slope of the rafters that frame into the hip is entered in Simple Hip; BC FRAMER calculates and displays the slope of the hip.
