Design Value and Methodology Changes in Boise Cascade EWP Software
On occasion, design value or methodology changes occur that affect the design of Boise Cascade Engineered Wood Products Since it is difficult to release all software program updates simultaneously (including third party programs that contain our products), it is possible to have a design generated in a program version which the results conflict with the results from another program or version during the time period between program release dates. In those cases, both design reports can be considered correct. If the Boise Cascade EWP components of a structure are originally designed with a certain software version, the analysis is valid for any future design issues within that specific structure.
Designers shall transition to software update releases in a timely manner. Designers shall not revert back to older program versions in an attempt to create a passing product design which doesn’t pass when analyzed in the latest release of the software. For further questions regarding specific design value or methodology changes, please contact Boise Cascade EWP Engineering at 800.232.0788.
