0:02: Here's a quick tutorial using the BC Connect project grid to maintain your data.
0:07: Start at projects. Hover over the dashboard menu and click Project Grid.
0:13: The default data selection is last 180 days.
0:17: Change this to last 2 years or far enough back for your needs.
0:21: Then click load data.
0:23: Let's say that I want to mark old projects as complete.
0:28: Click the created column header to sort oldest to newest.
0:33: Double click on a status cell and choose complete from the list.
0:38: To copy the status down one or more adjacent cells, simply grab the bottom right corner grip and drag down. Or select a status cell and use the keyboard combination Control C to copy, which saves it to the Windows clipboard.
0:53: Then click any other status cell and press control V to paste it in.
0:58: You may be prompted to allow this on the web page.
1:01: Click allow.
1:03: The copied status may now be pasted into any other status cell using Control V.
1:08: Standard window selection methods may be used. For example,
1:13: Control click allows selecting non-contiguous cells, and shift click allows selecting all rows between.
1:21: This grid enables making mass changes that previously required access to the database.
1:27: If you haven't already done so, select a status cell with a completed status and copy it using the Control C key combination.
1:35: Then select the first cell in the grid. Scroll to the bottom of the data, and shift click the last status cell.
1:43: All rows between should be selected.
1:45: Press control V.
1:47: Note the progress counter at the bottom right.
1:50: It will briefly display all changes complete when finished.
1:54: You may then move on to another task.
1:57: This status is not locked, so if you make a mistake or need to change the status, just double click the cell and choose the new status.
2:07: This concludes our video.
2:08: Thank you for watching.
