Enabling BC Connect Features in BC Estimator
BC Estimator® software can be used to create material cutting lists in BC Connect® software.
- From the Tools menu Navigate to the Settings.
- Check the box for Enable BC Connect Features and click Done.
| Pro Tip: A Microsoft Log in will now appear when starting a new Job. To save the file to BC Connect automatically, sign in with existing BC Connect sign in info. To continue saving locally, simply “x” out of the pop up. |
Export the BC Connect XML
- Open or create a new job. Under the PUBLISH tab there will now be a new Format option for BC Connect in the “Itemized List” report. With the BC Connect format selected, click “Publish Selected Reports”.
Pro Tip: Custom reports set to be “itemized” in style and don’t make use of the QL style will have the BC Connect format populate.
Import the BC Connect XML
- Within the BC Connect Project, under the Attachments tab, select Import Material List.
- Click Choose Files or drag & drop the exported XML to this space.
- In the File Source choose BC Estimator XML File and click Import.
